Promotion of Biogas as an alternative source of domestic energy for environment conservation
Promotion of Biogas as an alternative source of domestic energy for environment conservation
Zero grazing is among the Chagga traditions practice of which for many years they have been benefitting from this practice by getting beef , milk and manure only. This project intend to support them to be able to benefit from the use of cow dung as a source of energy for cooking . This will reduced demand for fuel wood and thus conservation of the Mt. Kilimanjaro forest. The use of fuelwood and charcoal have been increasing the cost of living for many families. The introduction of low cost biogas systems will provide alternative sources of energy for environment and forest conservation as well as poverty reduction.
