Strengthtening of Cooperation of Ecological Farms in Eastern Lithuania
The main aim of project is to facilitate cooperation between ecological farms in Lithuanian East region. The project activities encompass:
- Trainings of farmers from ecological and conventional farms;
- Installment and equipping of training room for 40 persons;
- Beginning alteration of ecological product;
- A scientific research on possibilities of ecological farming in the region;
- Strengthening of production base of ecological farming cooperative;
- Establishment of a new ecological farming cooperative.
It is expected that practical activities of the project will have appreciable positive results, will improve living condition of community, will educate farmers and other stakeholders and will raise level of their consciousness, will improve capacities of the NGO and will facilitate more active collaboration and partnership.
It is planned that at the end of project a number of ecological farmers as well as members of the society will increase, farmers will get knowledge about nature protection and ways to avoid pollution of water.

Project Characteristics and Results
Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
Environment friendly farming activities are promoted among farmers. A conversion of more farmers from conventional to ecological farming systems is expected as well as increase of the members in ecological farming cooperative ?Padegsnys? and establishment of e new ecological farming cooperative in neighboring district.
Capacity - Building Component
Equipment necessary for the processing of ecological farms production will be procured during the project. Members of the society will be able to use this equipment.
