The local community will actually be participating in the meetings and awareness that will be carried out by the NGO. Awareness on pollution and threat to the river system by the local farmers using toxic applicants for cash crops, animal wastes and coffee pulps will be held with the local villagers.

The meetings and awareness with the local leaders, church leaders, youth groups, womens groups etc. will build capacity as well as strenghten capacity of the local people to address the current threat of the Asaro River System of being further polluted.

The project involves the whole community including the villagers, local leaders, grassroots, educated individuals and others that reside in villages along the Asaro river banks.

The project will compose of the local community's continuous support to actually progress. It basically tries to demonstrate to the local people to be mindful of their daily activities using the rivers system. Although, not official, reports from the locals claim that people living along the banks of Asaro river are currenly sick from the consumption of this water source.
