Project Planning Towards Diversification of Woodcrafts Around Kure Mountains National Park
Project Planning Towards Diversification of Woodcrafts Around Kure Mountains National Park
In some of the villages around the National Park spoonmaking from Buxus semperfirensis is a traditional income-source. Cutting of the tree is illegal, both inside and outside the NP. The project development activity intends to find out whether it is possible to reduce the pressure on the trees by focusing on different types of wood, which can be obtained legally, and to more-value-added products particularly related to the National Park.
