Direct project results:
1.Modernization of 7 boiler houses with 2,05 MW total thermal output:
a.Thermal plant in Rozanystok (in building complex of monumental monastery) ? 1,9 MW;
b.6 thermal plants in individual households (total thermal power ? 150 kW).
2.Improvement of heat effect in thermal plant in Lipsk ? 560 kW thermal output ;
3.Regeneration of 18 hectares of marshy meadows in Biebrza Valley
4.Decrease in exploitation costs of improved thermal systems (expected savings up to 160 000 PLN per year).
1050 tones of stone coal used yearly in thermal plants mentioned above, were replaced by biomass:
a.Thermal plant in Rozanystok ? around 1217 tones of wood per year;
b.Thermal plant in Lipsk ? 504 tones of fuel wood per year;
c.6 thermal plants in individual households ? around 126 tones of fuel wood or alternative fuels: straw or waste wood.
Indirect project results:
1.Promotion of individual households supporting environmental protection;
2.Promotion of environmental protection as activity supporting local sustainable development.
One of project activities was organization of competition ?Household friendly for the Nature?. In 6 households, which owners won the contest, boilers (for biomass) were installed.
