Luzon Consultations on Community-Based Renewable Energy Projects
The project aims to undertake a conference-workshop to gather project implementors and partners in renewable energy to share learning experiences, problems encountered and solution made, and enhance their capability to manage their projects.
A proactive project, a framework was formulated for this activity which considered previous/similar activities funded by SGP such as the Conference on Renewable Energy for the Visayas and Mindanao in 2000 and the research/documentation on the State of the Art of Community-Based Renewable Energy Projects undertaken by Sibol ng Agham at Teknolohiya in 1998.
Three consultations shall be held for each of the regions of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. SIBAT shall handle the consultation for Luzon and YAMOG for Visayas and Mindanao regional consultations.

Capacity - Building Component
Objective of the project are:
1. Raise the level of awareness and achievements in community-based renewable energy systems (CBRES) by assessing key lessons in the completed and ongoing CBRES projects of SIBAT in Luzon and YAMOG in Visayas and Mindanao
2. Exchange of learnings and experiences between and among POs/communities with completed/ongoing renewable energy projects.
3. Strengthen local capacity to respond to the increasing needs and growing interest of grassroots groups to engage in community-based renewable energy projects.
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
The project will be able come up the following outputs:
1. Formulation of guidelines and operational principles for the implementation of community-based micro-hydropower projects based on experiential learnings and lessons;
2. Common action plan for sustainability of micro-hydropower;
