Strengthening Role of Panchayat in Re-establishing Biodiversity in Southern Aravali Hills
The project will work on Specific Objectives of:
1. Empowering Gram Panchayat Representative & Community leadership for environment conservation and process for conserving biodiversity.
2. Improve biodiversity of group and common wastelands (beed) and increase overall bio mass in the project area.
3. Revive and reestablishing nutritive species of grasses, shrubs & trees.
4. Propagating cost economic and environmental friendly models of biodiversity in wasteland in southern Aravalli.

Capacity - Building Component
Alert believe in strategy of capacity building as a tool for empowerment and is working in close collaboration with Gram Sabha and Gram Panchayats has helped Alert to arrive on consensus that Gram Sabha and Panchayat and constitutionally mandated body is the one of the most viable institution for grass root development at the panchayat level.
Notable Community Participation
Project concept was to develop traditional practices of people in adjoining area for agriculture and allied production. The main activities were planned to accommodate people?s technologies that give a feel of ownership.
