Project Characteristics and Results
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
Local urban bodies are one of the biggest consumers of secondary sources of energy, by raising awareness in administrators of such local bodies and institution like hospitals, schools, etc. for proper housekeeping, proper designs, and better operation and maintainance schedules, substancial power saving can be achieved. Particularly in the developing countries, the savings in the energy bills will also attribute a lot to the growth and development of the cities.
Notable Community Participation
The nature of this project is such that it does not have direct involvement of the community in its implementation. However, strategically, without community awareness and then active participation in demanding the implementation is very crucial to ensure that the energy conservation is given priority in numerous ongoing services in any municipal corporation.
