Estratégias de Conservação para o Cerrado Paulista a partir da Mobilização da Sociedade Civil
The main objective of this project is the creation of strategies for conservation of the remaining Cerrado areas in the state of São Paulo through the mobilization of civil society and through a state run environmental education program. The environmental organizations in the state will be mapped, research and events eill subsidize an action plan for conservation of the biome, and didactic materials will be produced.

Capacity - Building Component
At least 35 reporters will sit through a course dealing with the Cerrado and the current fast-paced devastation, in hopes of creating awareness in the general public in favor of conservation.
Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
By promoting environmental programs and developing an strategic action plan for civil society for Cerrado conservation, people will become aware of the situation and will work toward sustainable development.
