This planning grant did not result in a full project due to a failure on the part of the grantee to submit the revised project in time for continuation of the activities. The Association did acquire new members, however during the course of the planning activities. A meeting with the local water company clarified some issues and gave rise to a committee to be in charge of the water supply for the municipality. A problem of incompatible schedules for use of a car for the data collection activity was solved by the permission for use of a vehicle by Saneago (the water company for the state of Goiás). A consultation was made at the notary public office for a study of historic ownership of the land around the rivers that supply the municipality. Many difficulties were faced in the education of the population living near the rivers and streams. Access to these rivers and streams was not easy.
