Preservation of soils and organic agriculture with the native cultivation of potatoes, beans, guicoy, ayote [these two are types of pumpkins] (Solanum Tuberosum, phaseolus vulagries, phaseolus, Cucurbita peppo and Cucurbita moschata Duch ex Prior)and broad beans in Cantón Miramar, Aldea Tojcheche, Tacaná, San Marcos
This project intends to solve the problems of poverty and soil erosion through the use of organic agriculture and the building of structures for soil preservation.

Twenty-six participants will be trained on issues related to agricultural and organic production, and women self-esteem. Participants already sow 6.12 acres of land and will apply soil preservation techniques to other 2.45 acres of depleted and eroded lands.

Besides soil preservation, improvement in the participants feeding practice is seek, as well as broadening knowledge on organic agriculture and preservation of native species, therefore of biodiversity, as well as promoting organizational work with fair participation of men and women.
