Project Characteristics and Results
Gender Focus
In terms of composition, 75 % of project beneficiaries are women. They are actively involved in decision-making and actual implementation. Most of the activites seek to address their concerns, for example the provision of chingwa stoves and biogas digestors will lesson their burden of travelling long distances in search of firewood.
Significant Participation of Indigenous Peoples
Most of the people who reside in this area are the "manyika" people and they are the target beneficiaries of the project. However, there are very few other tribes like the Shona people.
