Save the Cerrado Radio Program
Grita Cerrado: uma prosa no ar
A radio campaign for Cerrado conservation is the objective of this project. The program will approach all of the relevant topics, including those in the GEF operational programs, such as conservation of biodiversity, international waters, indiscriminate use of agrotoxins, agroecology, deforestation, renewable energy, etc. In other words, social-environmental issues will be brought into discussion and made more visible in the concerned regions. Communities setting good examples of co-existence with the biome through sustainable use and management and conservation will be presented. The key character in this program will be 'Concessa', already well known in the area and invaluable in her ability to break down complex issues into easily understandable language without compromising content. A methodology for identification a diagnosing of the profile and potential of the radio network in each region will be carried out. Radio programs will be broadcast in the region and nationally through stations that become sensible to the cause.
