The project addresses the problem of climate change and ecological transport, and aims to promote bicycle and ecological tourism, as well as regional development in Sakiai district.

During the implementation of the first stage of the project technical and planning documents, like special plan for bicycle route, technical design for road reconstruction and technical schemes for resting ground, will be prepared. Numerous seminars and trainings will be organized for the local communities. The local people will learn how to provide services for bicyclists, what are exclusive features of these tourists, how to organize and develop rural communities, and what traditional crafts would be interesting for tourists, etc. The lectures will base their trainings on experience from all over Lithuania.
