Numerous characteristic livestock breeds, among which the primitive race of Siska pig, are known to occur in the Balkans but there is no reliable information available about these breeds at present. This minigrant aims to identify, assess, and register possible primitive race of Siska pig population in Albania and to prepare the ground for designing the strategy for in-situ conservation of Siska pig population.
