Bio diversity conservation through the promotion of home garden development of indigenous vegatables and leaves by People's Development Foundation, Dehiowita
Activites base line data collection, compile data on nutritious composition of indigenous varietes of vegetables and edible leaves, awareness raising, development of home gardens, experimenting on ways of keeping vegetables fresh for longer compostion and vermiculture. Reclamation of traditional vegetable leaves which help bio diversity and marketing them in rural and town lelvel. Promoting traditional leaves for cultivating among 300 families. Protecting bio diversity through using traditional knowledge on home gardening techniques and seed diversificaiton.
