It was classified by DENR as timberland. Elevation ranges from 900 to 1200 meters above sea level. The terrain of the project area was observed to be very steep and gradually descending and forming a series of disconnected hills and valleys in its middle section. The Sibalom Watershed shall cover 100 hectares out of the 5500 hectares of timberland in Danao with patches of natural growth trees thriving along the Sibalom River and creeks.

Funds of commitment of the LGU for the continuance of the project after its termination will be facilitated. This will be achieved through the inclusion of the plans of the Danao Greenhills Asso. in the Annual Investment Plan of two towns within the Sibalom River.
Policy Impact
The government and the people should understand that the concept of biodiversity/resource conservation should anchor on the hands of the local people and not from the ideas of "big government". Government should develop a more flexible set of tools to adjust to each situation, provide funds/incentives.
