Sitio Tablo is an ancestral land of the indigenous people's community belonging to the T'boli tribe. Comprising around 150 households, most of them are engaged in rice and corn farming. Other sources of income are abaca and T'nalak loom weaving. About 10% of the total land area is cultivated with rice while corn is planted in around 10 Has. The rest are secondary growth forests where abaca is abundant.

The hydraulic resource or watershed area is charaterized by secondary growth forest with abundant springs and creeks. The watershed area lies between 586 to 620 meters above sea level and is around one fourth of the hydropower project is two creeks that run a total length of 5.5 kilometers that extends southwesterly draining itself to the main river system in Lake Sebu. With the available water source, an estimated of 12 kilowatts micro-hydropower could be harnessed for electrification, milling and blacksmithing and even for lighting to enhance loom weaving among women.

The micro-hydropower project is community-owned and managed indigenous renewable source of energy. It will generate a 12-kW power electricity that will run a rice mill and blacksmithing equipment and provide residential electricity to around 105 households.

Watershed rehabilitation and management will also be done in targeting 25 hectares in the watershed areas for sustainability of the water source. Local coordination with the barangay would ensure protection of the watershed areas as barangay resolutions would be facilitated declaring the 25 hectares as watershed protected area.
