The project envisioned creating sustainability of the existing initiatives/interventions of communities and institutions in preserving the natural bounty and aesthetic values of Palawan. Creating traditional handicrafts such as baskets, woodcarvings and home decors have been deeply seated and long been part of Palawan's culture and has been its people's way of life for many years.

Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
Given this, the project is positioned to promote the biodiversity richness through the hyping-up of the handicraft business as an option for livelihood. This will serve as a strategy for the strengthening of biodiversity conservation of organizations for the products and the incomes derived from production will somehow give them an idea of the value they can get from their resources.
