The research will provide an inventory of valuation studies on biodiversity and examine methods employed. The research will also include determining impacts of mining and other land conversion activities in the Philippines. It will provide stakeholders (e.g. LGUs, NGOs, POs) decision-oriented information which is the training module on valuing impacts of mining and other land uses to their environment. Generate inputs from experts and obtain their approval on the methods employed in the module in order to secure credibility and acceptability. It will determine the effectiveness of the training module and do the necessary enhancements based on the results of the pilot-test.

The project will also provide local stakeholders with a training module on community-level valuation techniques in order for them to effectively engage government or proponents of the development proposal.
