Demonstration of environment and economy benefits of using organic fertilizers originated by composting and anaerobic fermentation of plant growing and animal husbandry waste for increase of natural land fertility in Kalba village, located in the zone of arable farming of Talas valley.
In average 2 hectares of plough-land is provided to each family. Decrease of natural soil fertility resulting in constant reduction of crop capacity is caused by the high cost of organic and mineral fertilizers and absence of science-based crop rotation and monocultures (potatoes).
The main goal of the project is demonstration of opportunities of organic fertilizers application, originated by composting and anaerobic fermentation for natural soil fertility preservation.
During the project implementation the following results are expected to be achieved:
Environment Impact
Decrease of rate of natural soil fertility
Economy Impact
Intensive, ecologically oriented ways of processing of agricultural and cattle-breeding wastes will be demonstrated for population.
Social and Cultural Impact
- raising public awareness about greenhouse effect and their global significance
- raising engineering knowledge on biogas plant manufacturing, installing and their exploitation
- enhancement of

Project Characteristics and Results
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
Information campaign and training actions of the project are directed to demonstrate for local population the necessity of using modern non-polluting technologies for daily life. It will be emphasized, that these measures provide a low level of emission of the gases creating greenhouse effect and by that mitigate consequences of climate change. The natural soil fertility won?t decrease because of enough humus applications, originated by composting and anaerobic fermentation.
Inovative Financial Mechanisms
It is proposed that the project will help to introduce new financial scheme that will allow switching to high ?capacity biogas installations.
