Protection and reproduction of endemic species included into Red Book of Kyrgyzstan (Sorbuspersica Hedl., Pyrus korshinskyi Litv) by rehabilitation of wood and bush vegetation plot nearby Tatar village, located in the steppe belt of Southern slope of Alay Range.
Endemic species of fruit-trees and bushes ((Sorbuspersica Hedl., Pyrus korshinskyi Litv) are destroyed because of cattle grazing (soil compression, shoots damage, eating up of fruits) and laying in of wood vegetation by the local population for firewood.
The main purpose of the project is elimination of causes of disappearance of indicated species by fencing and planting wood and bush vegetation on a plot that was earlier used as a pasture.
In the course of project implementation it is expected obtaining of the following results:
Ecological
-conservation and widening of habitat of wood and grass vegetation included into Red Data Book of Kyrgyzstan
Economic
-collecting and processing of fruits, saplings sale as a supplement to traditional cattle-breeding and plant-growing
Social and cultural
-it is possible that understanding will improve that cattle-breeding and arable farming in the existing form destroys forest and next generations will encounter with problem of land degradation and soil exhaustion;
- it is possible that awareness will come that rehabilitation of natural forest and its competent use is the only way of management in this area;
