Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
COMPACT is being implemented with local stakeholders as major program partners through the Local Consultative Body (LCB). Components of community-based initiatives being funded under the program include sustainable livelihood establishment and other important components that will result to strong impacts on the reduction of threat in a protected area.
Policy Impact
The COMPACT LCB Strategic Planning will try to look into the past experience of COMPACT implementation for the winding down pf phase I (2001-2004). Learnings and improvements that shall surface in the planning workshop will be incorporated for a more systematic and strategic implementation of Phase II for the period 2005-2008.
