GREENWELL, LANDCARE AND BIODIVERSITY PROJECT
The porject is an integrated community-based approach on resource management and biodiversity conservation to improve the socio-economic and environmental conditions in the upland area by developing water access and distribution and management of land resources, and move for the preservation of natural biodiversity. It consists of installation of a photovoltaic pumping system (PVP) capable of providing 30 cu.m of potable water daily to an estimated 200 households located in four sitio of the barangay of Sanlagan, Sitio Cambagni of Barangay Matutinao and sitio proper of Barangay Sulsugan. The spring source of this system will be obtained from Bungbong, Sitio Tipolo which is situated at Barangay Sanlagan, Badian, Cebu.

Project Characteristics and Results
Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
Appropriate sloping agricultural land technologies will be the main focus of the livelihood activities of small upland farmers. Supoort will be coming from LGUs on training and start-up capital in the form of revolving fund to augment production.
Gender Focus
Household mapping shows that the barangay is comprised of over 200 at an avenrage family size of not less than 6 persons/households. Allowing an intercensal growth rate of 2%, the population of the area will be roughly 1,212 people.
