Biogas and Livelihood Promotion Project
The project site lies in the bufferzone of Royal Chitwan National Park (RCNP) one of the two World Heritage Sites (Ecological) in Nepal. The main aim of the project is to establish revolving fund to install biogas in the bufferzone of RCNP of Nawalparasi district. Initially the project aims to instal 250 biogas plants benefitting the users and by revolving the fund, the project aims to serve more communities.

Due to the construction of the biogas, the farmers has to stall feed their cattle. This will prevent the cattle entering into the National Park and reduce the ill fated impact of grazing inside the park. The projec has also provision of seed money and capacity building activities to address the livelihood activities of the local people.
