Renewable energy governmental policy (law!) is not operational on the local level.There is a low understanding of renewable energy potentail due to the low knowledge, existing solutions based on non-renewable energy (coal,gas,oil) and very aggresive marketing of companies representing "old" energies. Obligatory by the law inventory of energy resources on the local level (for gminas) are exceptionally implemented due to the lack of understanding the renewable energy (the lack of examples, knowledge,know-how,data-base).
Project will bring the knowledge about existing locally renewable resources by inventory of it done by the Foundation using local resources (volunteers-students of environmental faculty of the local branch of the Bialystok University together with people from the local governments); organised training workshops for volunteers and local government services; production of manuals;
at the end 2 energy audits will be conducted in order to facilitate not only inventory work, but an example of application ofit- 2 projects will be prepared for donors, for 2 public buildings, with heating systems based on local energy resourceswith .
