Controlling the use of chemical pesticides in two agricultural localities of the southern area of Gaza
Developing farmers capacity to address sustainable agricultural practices such as integrating pest management, water management and the use of brackish water in irrigation and the reuse of agriculture waste (compost) and introducing principles of organic farming. The project will demonstrate two main methods for sustainable agriculture 1) soil solarization as an alternative of the Methyl Bromide through distributing 7,500 meters of nylon for 50 farmers in order to reduce %100 of the use of Methyl bromide in the selected greenhouses.
2) Rehabilitation of the insect?s protective nets for the 5 greenhouses in Rafah and Khan Younis.
