KIRONGDONG TWIN WATERFALLS PROTECTION AND WATER RESOURCES UTILIZATION FOR MICRO-HYDROPOWER COMMUNITY-BASED ELECTRIFICATION AND OPERATION OF AN AGRI-PRODUCT MILLING FACILITIES
Sitio Kirongdong is a remote community of about nine (9) kilometers away from the barangay proper and 29 kilometers away from the municipality of Magpet.The project aims to contribute community empowerment by introducing economic and social services, at the same time initiate watershed protection and biodiversity conservation. Watershed protection and biodiversity conservation is the principal support component for the sustainable operation of the micro-hydropower project. It is vital to the community folks of Kirongdong and adjacent community to be aware of the provisions and policies for the good of the environment.

Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
Corn and rice mills and coffee huller will be the best subsidiary utilities of the MHP that responds to the needs for ensuring food for household consumption that eliminate the burden of manually milling the cereals by produced. A battery charging system shall be made available for the nearby community and other small scale sustainable livelihood project.
Capacity - Building Component
Intensive training programs will be conducted such as biodiversity monitoring system, watershed and nursery management programs, paralegal, resource mobilization and networking, financial management and MHP operations and maintenance trainings.
