Capacity Building for the Antigua and Barbuda National Focal Group
The project will help Antigua to fully establish a NFG; appointed a National Focal Person; Train members of the NFG and the NFP in GEF SGP methodologies; undertake stakeholder consultations; prepare a Country Programme Strategy; promote the GEF SGP in Antigua & Barbuda; provide administrative support; undertake project evaluation; prepare a lessons learned document; and prepare and submit an end of project report.

Notable Community Participation
The project was developed through consultations with members of the Antigua/Barbuda National Focal Group. The group comprise members from academia, the Government; the private sector; and the Civil Society Sector which are in the majority. During project implementation there is expected to be national and community consultations.
Capacity - Building Component
The project will build the capacity of the National Focal Group (NFG) to assist NGOs and CBOs in preparing GEFABLE projects. The NFG will ultimately be responsible for reviewing and approving projects for submission to the Sub-Regional Steering Committee.
