The project seeks to strengthen and increase understanding of selected judges and DENR personnel in the Sierra Madre, Panay, Palawan, Samar and Caraga areas of current environmental laws particularly their implementing rules and regulations through actual cases.

Project Characteristics and Results
Policy Impact
Haribon will closely work with Palawan and Samar NGO partners in implementing this project. The seminars for judges in thse areas will be conducted wholly by these NGO partners. The sustainability of this project hinges on he participants and the proponents themselves, who later can initiate their on seminars, whether by singly, or together, in their respecticve areas and be the resource persons as well.
Capacity - Building Component
Specific activites of the proposed project include: (1) Selection of participants, (2) Design of seminar program, (3) Pre-seminar preparation, (4) Conduction of seminars, (5) Documentation, (6) Handbook preparation and publication, (7) Book launch, (8) Book distribution, and (10) Report preparation.
