Namibia Poison & Vulture Awareness Campaign
Namibia Poison & Vulture Awareness Campaign
This Project will seek to formulate and apply information on the use of poison and alternative methods for problem animal control. The information will be formatted into a working national monitoring system, which will incorporate strong cooperation between conservation, land management , business groups and the development of resources and people.

An active programme will be instituted that visits communities and individuals, and shares information and problem- solving tips that address the social and economic causes for the use of poison.Following the implementation of the campaign, a sign will be posted on the landowners gate to demonstrate to the community that he or she practices 'vulture friendly' land management.

The project will be nation-wide, but heavily focused on the 400 kilometers radius around the Waterberg Plateau where most vultures reside.
