Building Capacity in the GEF SGP Methodology in Project Development, Project Proposal Writing and Project Management - BANGO, BARBADOS
This project specifically addresses the capacity of CSOs to design and manage projects which meet the GEF SGP criteria. By the end of the project 20 persons will be trained in the GEF SGP methodology and a department for providing services to CSOs will be established within the office of the Barbados Association of Non-Governmental Organisations (BANGO). This project will also promote the GEF SGP in Barbados and there is a built-in monitoring and evaluation component. Ultimately, this project will help to increase the accessibility of the GEF SGP to CSOs in Barbados.

Capacity - Building Component
It is expected that by the end of the project BANGO (Barbados Association of Non-Governmental Organisations) would have established a project services department to assist CSOs around Barbados in accessing GEF SGP funds and other funds. Approximately 20 persons will be trained in the GEF SGP methodology of which 10 will be from various CSOs and 10 will be available to provide technical assistance to CSOs.
