Aesthetic Media Communication project on bio diversity and eco systems of Sri Lanka by Nature Foundation
Printing of booklets, leaflets magazines and posters on the bio diversity and eco systems of Sri Lanka and the making of audio cassette containing nature and conservation songs. Grass root level information and indigenous knowledge not available in texts will be collected and recorded.
Objectives of the project are:
Promote positive change among stakeholder communities in the peripheral of eco systems to mitigate their adverse impact on the environment. Enable stakholders to make informed decisions on issues concering their environment. Help communities to overcome their destructive activities which deplet natural resources threateing their sustaianble livelihoods.
The project is a support programme to the Cluster/Network projects. The inputs for the notice board magazine and information for the posters will be based on indigenous knowledge of the communities. Due to the universality of the materials a larger communtiy will be able to appreciate while helping local organizations in reinforcement of their activities.
