Facilitating Development of Participatory Work Plans on Women and Energy Program in Muluy Village in the Surrounding of Gunung Lumut Protected Forest, Paser, East Kalimantan
Project development Objectives:
To facilitate and document participatory workshop to formulate work plan on energy and woman program among community in Muluy, Gunung Lumut Protected Forests, East Kalimantan.

The workshop aims:
1. To identify the ecological threats and community?s capacity to address threats related to community adaptation to climate change and ecological destruction.
2. To identify strategic roles of community, non-governmental organization, universities, local government and concerned individuals to resolve identified challenges.
3. To develop visual proposal and work plan for women and energy program in villages around Gunung Muluy protected forest.

Expected Results:
1. One (1) visual proposal representing visual proposal on women and energy program of villages around Gunung Muluy National Park.
2. One written proposal covering identification of issues as aims of workshop no 1 to 3 and budget related to plan of implementation.
3. community workshop

Activities to be conducted:
1. Assessment and preparation of meeting (7 days)
PADI Indonesia will organize workshop preparation with villagers in Muluy and invite other communities interested to attend the workshop, including form Sungai Wain Protected Forest. This activity include interviews and individual meeting with key players in energy and conservation issues among local government, universities, NGOs and individuals working in this area.
2. Project Planning Workshop in Muluy (3 day meeting and interview)
The project planning workshop will be participated by about 25 participants, representing public leaders, Customary Council, Officials from village government, women group and the community member of Sungai Wein. The agenda of this meeting include threats reduction analysis, identification of strength and weakness, development of goal and objectives, determining key parameters for impact indications and direct benefits, participatory budgeting exercise (valuation of co-finance from local community members and organizations and other institutions interested in the project). The meeting is intended to obtain clear and acceptable relationship between PADI Indonesia as intermediary NGO in partnership with local communities.
3. Visual Proposal Documentation and Training for PADI Indonesia (5-7 days)
The documentation process of planning workshop will involve expert in film documentation to train staff from PADI Indonesia in editing, simple production management and getting message across. The audience of this visual proposal is the National Steering Committee. The documentary film will serve as reference to the development of future program and as tools for policy dialogue.
4. Writing draft proposal and work plan from the workshop (2-3 days)
With strong reference and source of verification to the documentary film, PADI Indonesia will facilitate the narrative version of the proposal, conduct valuation of co-financing contributed by communities and other interested parties.
5. Verification and cross check (3 days)
PADI Indonesia team will organize small meeting in Muluy village to show the draft film and to cross check the narrative proposal as well as budget. Meetings will be participated by the women group of Muluy to take input and critical view about the short documentary film and the narrative proposal.
6. Proposal Finalization and Submission (4 days)
Any comments and amendments to the proposal will be collected and incorporated before finalization of proposal and submission to GEF-SGP Indonesia.
7. Final Report writing and finance report to submit to GEF-SGP Secretariat)
