Objectives:
Enhanced public and local community awareness about environmental concerns and particularly in saving the Taman Botani, Kota Damansara, an area covering 857 acres of the remaining Sungai Buloh Forest Reserve.

Provide an opportunity for public and local participation and input at the grass roots for appreciating, conserving and to promote sustainable management of the Taman Botani's biodiversity, services and functions as a green lung for the local communities including the disabled.

Instil the concept and understanding of local participation in sustainable development among its members and local communities along the lines of Local Agenda 21 in an overall and consolidated effort to motivate, educate and mobilize local communities in conservation and sustainable use of their biodiversity, natural resources and ecosystem.

The outputs achieved during this project includes
Increased involvement and support of residents and public in the Save the Forest campaign due to a successful awareness and outreach to the public.

Empowerment of the local urban communities to be environmentally corncerned of developments and participate in sustainable land use management and conservation of its biodiversity.

Built the capacity of the local communities to monitor the biodiversity of Taman Botani, a community forest park through training, monthly avtivities and educational programmes, such as nature trails and guiding exercises, nature photography, bird watching, biodiversity inventory monitoring.

Documentation of the project in a comprehensive interactive video showcasing the stages, efforts and commitment towards the establishment of (Taman Botani) the Kota Damansara Community Forest Park.
