Capacity Building for NGO's and CBO's for Activities to Promote Sustainable Livelihood
- A continuing effort to consistently respond to the growing needs to educate the Dayak people in the midst of systemetic maneuver to deprive them of their lands which are rich in BD and on which their cultutre and livelihood depend on. Logging industries, plantation indudtries , tourism and resiort development projects, hydro project and mining, enhance massive land grabbing under the guise of development agenda.
- In implementing the project COMCIS will undertake the following strategies and programs:
- Comunnity Organising and Capacity building
- Documenting and promoting conservation and sustainable use of BD
-Workshop on conservation and sustainable use of BD as a basis for long term sustainable livelihood.
- Raising awareness and conducting outreach programme on traditional lifestyles of the Dayak including the dependance upon BDand forest of which they are part and parcel to the holistic system
- To establish linkages and networking relatonships among Dayak Communities and with civil society.
