The biogas project promotes alternate renewable source of energy, which is related to the climate change in India and it is designed to mitigate the adverse impacts of the climate change. This will also spur investments in the promotion of renewable energy. The electrification of thalangi project hamlet will prevent cutting of trees and create a healthy atmosphere. It helps to reduce the barrier to the adoption of renewable energy technology. It helps to reduce the green house gas emission normally happening through the conventional thermal power generation and generation and burning of fire wood in inefficient chulha. The project would help the community meet their fertilizer requirement by getting the value added organic manure as the digested slurry coming out of the plant after the digestion .The working of smoke free healthy environment in their houses.

This project is by the women SHGs for the SHG member families with the help of the women NGO. 6 SHGs were already formed and they are getting financial assistance from the banks .The motivation and awareness will be given to the women SHG members and themselves will also give the Shg members for the maintenance of the assets the training on operation and maintenance .The village community volunteered to form a committee to look after the maintenance of the system. By involving all the SHGs, a Cluster Level Coordinating Committee (CLCC) will be formed by taking members of each SHG.The maintenance of the system and the collection of monthly charges to be fixed for the maintenance of the system will be handled over the CLCC and the maintenance aspect.
