The grant supports a local community initiative to manufacture cinder-blocks. Practically, all the Delgerkhangai soum citizens live in ger, a felt made national tent. But in recent years local communities start interesting in housing and demand for building materials are rapidly arising as the prices of cover and wooden parts of ger have increased in the local market.
The project proponent intends to solve this problem as much environmentally friendly as possible. Within the project framework they will manufacture cinder-blocks using ash of gung accumulated during many years in the past that pollute the environment. Successful implementation of this project will result in getting permanent jobs for 5 local community families and most importantly, in reducing demand for wooden materials, saving a lot of forest resources.
