Krutynia-Luknajno
Purchase of meadows from private farmers in area of valuable flora along Krutynia River and Luknajno Lake.An attempt in supporting for creation the National Park in the region by stopping a very aggresive actions by private companies,individuals etc. for capturing the most valuable part of planned National Park. Purchased (in secrecy) land of crucial parts of the "wanted" land stopped further developments;Project has an character of "intervention" and proved to be succesfull;mid-term goals were achieved, unfortunately - in September 2005 - National park was not established yet!

Policy Impact
Planned - support to the process of establishment of Mazury national park by creating facts - purchase of valuable plots of land from private owners in strategic areas, blocking development of environmentally unfriendly commercial ideas for hotels, camping sites etc where valuable flora and landscsape could be easily destroyed , before establishment o the national park.
Notable Community Participation
Purchase of land from private farmers, so in fact we were facing a passive participation through permission for land sale.All agreements were done in secrecy due to earlier experience from Suwalki region, where farmer getting knowledge about potential donor (buyer) - UN system immidiately dramatically rose his demands for the price (10 times more).So this project was demonstrating the lack of transparency on purpose.
