Establishment of 30 agro-forestall plots to recover potatoes, colors corns and native broad beans in with associate of the cypress, pine, oak and alder trees in Cantón Jiménez, Comitancillo, San Marcos
30 people work in this project sowing domestic potatoes, colors corns and broad bean a combination of frorestall trees as oak, pine, cypress and alder trees.
They plan to produce 15 quintals of potatoes and 2 quintals of broad beans and 2 quintals colors cons per partner. 6,000 cypress, pine, oak and alder trees of will be produced in the nursery. Besides, 50% of the 6,000 of the each species of trees will be used for reforestation purposes and protection of their water sources, the rest will be for sale and so obtaining income to solve their economic problems for the forestall nursery.
All participants will be trained in issues such as production, management and commercialization of the above types, with organic agriculture and soil preservation.
