GEF/SGP Year-5 Lessons Learnt and Knowledge Management Forum
Target Population / Location of project:
25 locations in 17 provinces of the four regions of Thailand with implemented year-5 GEF/SGP activities
Environment Problems and Livelihood:
The 25 locations have common environmental problems classified by GEF focal areas. Communities are
also common in their livelihood ? rural community earning their living through agricultural practices,
depending on provisions of ecosystems and providing labour services.
Objectives:
1.To promote learning process amongst grantees , GEF/SGP and other stakeholders
2.To initiate environmental networking process at both local and global level
3.To set up model and example for holistic learning and environmental networking
Activities to be taken:
1.Organizing forum for summarizing lessons learnt on ?Systematic Global Environment Solution?
2.Compiling changing data & information of 25 projects through learning media and internet
3.Establishing mutual communications amongst the 25 projects
4. Paying visitation to projects as appropriate
Anticipated Outputs and Results:
1.Emergence of the followings:
- More comprehensive environmental development process for 25 project members
- A sample/model of holistic environment solution
- Environment collaboration at provincial, regional and country level
2.Emergence of systematic baseline and incremental data & information
3.On-going sharing of data & information through documentation, tract and internet
4. More intact cooperation being witnessed through new emerging ideas and concept for environmental approach
