Contributing to the rehabilitation of the Arid ecosystem in the Eastern slops of Za?atarh rural areas in the East of Bethlehem
The project will focus on restoring local traditional knowledge on rain water harvesting and watershed management through constructing 7 pear shape cisterns, installing 100 semi-circle bunds, 1500m2 of stone bunds and 1500 of contour ridges. It will also contribute to protecting degraded lands and conserved endangered species in an area of 10 dunums owned by 10 farmers through distributing 200 kg of seeds for endangered species. In addition, the project will improve farmers capacities in different issues related to water resources and environment and agricultural practices through conducting 26 training hours for farmers.
