Environment Conservation and Promotion of livelihood Project
Environment Conservation and Promotion of livelihood Project
The proposed VDCs of this project lies in Bara -Central Terai district, where forest are relatively far from their households. Thus for such VDCs, the tradition fuel for cooking is cow-dung cakes mixed with agricultural residue. In order to curb this malpractice of cooking, the project has proposed to install ICS and briquette stove and also introduce community based agroforestry practices which would help in fuelwood supply in a long run. The project has also proposed to initiate school gardening, mobilising ecoclubs which would also enhance the environmental stewardship of the schoold students.
