Mobilizing Madrasah Schools for Biodiversity Conservation of the Liguasan Marsh
The project is designed to protect, conserve, and restore biodiversity in the Liguasan Marsh to ensure a continuous yield of useful plants and animals by way of Introducing the Establishment of Madrasah Schools and to mobilize it as the sources of information, knowledge, authority, and development plan for the balance cycle of harvest and renewal. It is a kind of school where its structural management will be based on the teaching of Islam. Its vision is to teach an on-site biodiversity conservation through the process of facilitating the communities in the marsh to have a strong and viable organization, education, and training for Peace and Sustainable Development. It is a kind of biodiversity conservation and protection to be implemented under the leadership of Ulama and Ustazes (Muslim Religious Leaders) in which according to the teaching of Islam, they are the Immamal Mut'taqeen Wa Salechien (Pious and Righteous Leaders), they are the source of guidance and the successors of the prophets in the right direction.

Activities are aimed at mobilizing the Madrasah Schools and equipping it with necessary information, knowledge, skills and commitments to carry out the critical activities towards the eventual preservation of the marsh.
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
Presently, Central Mindanao?s version of a paradise that is Liguasan Marsh and its rich biological diversity and ecological balance is being threatened by widespread destructive activities employed by unscrupulous individuals and groups wanting to cash in on the rich resources that abound in the area. If unabated, these activities are expected to cause widespread destruction of the marsh and undue disturbance of its precarious ecological balance. The following are considered as the major problems threaten the existence of the marsh, such as: Logging; Construction of Dams and Diversion of River Flows; Proliferation of fish Cages and Traps; Heavy Siltation; Land Conversion; Development Aggression; Peace and Order; Poverty, Illiteracy and Exploitation
