Support for unique civic movement;construction of 35 biological sewage treatment plants for individual farms in 6 villages, upgrading life standards for farmers, promotion of small scale local cost-effective solutions with substantial contribuiton of farmers, improvement of sanitation,along small river entering the Biebrza National Park.Project aimed in economic,ecological and social outputs;improvment of life standarts, protection of the national park.
Civic committee was established to organize all preparatory works (feasibility studies,financial engeenering etc); local government (wojt-leader) provide organisational assistance;initially project was facing some distrust weakened by earlier example of another civic committee established for telephone network.Promises were kept, after 1 year telephones could be found in many households of this very poor,remote region of North Poland. Sceptical farmers finally established Civic Committee for sewage treatment construction.
