Intergrated Mixed crop farming using organic farming system.
This is the first environment project for the Leauvaa Women's Committee known as the Falelua or Ati ae Aiga. The project is an initiative by the Women's Committee to stop the use of pesticides and fertilizer in subsistence agriculture and most importantly focusiing on the protection and conservation of natural resources within the village. The committee is working towards capacity building and educational programmes to eliminate the use of pesticides. The project intends to develop a demonstration integrated mixed crop farming using natural organic fertilizers for the growth of crops, traditional fruit trees and other indigenous Samoan plants. The committee has already solicit the assistance of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries (Crop Division) for their technical officers to help the women in preparing composting sites and planting of tree crops etc.

Objective: to promote mixed organic farming for all families in Leauvaa Village
