Rebuilding the community of Falelima Village coastal spring used for community bathing and washig
Rebuilding the community of Falelima Village coastal spring used for community bathing and washig
The community of Falelima does not receive water from piped water due to limited water availability that can reach the community. The majority of village people have water tanks which are used for drinking, and the coastal springs are mainly used for bathing and washing. The coastal spring is the only source of water currently used for domestic purposes, however over the years they have deteriorated in quality.
The objectives of the project are;
Conduct a full assessment of the coastal springs to assess the costing for rehabilitation,
Environmental assessment of the area to assess possible adverse impacts
Public awareness on water resource management
