Reduction of bird?s death rate on transmission lines - I phase regional
Inventory of birds living on electric poles and transformers in the area of Wielkopolska, the first step of a big project, the idea is to decrease the death rate of birds and economic loss. In some cases nests will be removed to spacial platforms and breeding boxes. Education campaign and trainings for power plants staff and services of transmission company, students, local community will be a very important element of the project. As one of the results the special guide on new methods for protection electric lines against their negative impact to birds population will be produced.
