Cultivation of the Siberian fur-trees seedlings and berry bushes in a nursery on the territory of Katon-Karagay National Park by local community
Problem 1. Distructure of the national economy in the postsoviet period has led to interruption of work in the state forest nurseries. Material and technical basis equipping of the special nature protected territories now is more intensive that previousely, but is't enough in corpore.

Problem 2. The main part of population of Katon-Karagaj area lives in a high-mountainous zone in severe conditions, and the local population' demand for the stratified species of berry bushes is high. The local gardeners cannot meet the demand, and the production cost is high.
Problem 3. Creation of agricultural lands on the territories with natural vegetation and cattle over breeding cause gradual change of the vegetative cover of the territories. Areas of the valuable plants growing in vicinities of the villages especially suffer. Stocks of many medicinal plants are also quickly exhausted. Some kinds of valuable plants remains too little, and storage will lead to their annihilation.

A complex of measures are provided for solving the problems, such as:
1. Creation of a branch for growing seedlings of the Siberian fur-tree for subsequent realization for gardening settlements of the Republic Kazakhstan.
2. Creation of a nursery for cultivation of the stratified saplings of the berry bushes for realization to the local population.
3. Creation of demonstration site with assortment of melliferous, rare and endemic species growing in the region with the purpose of raising awareness of the local population and visitors.
4. Popularization of the project ideas and active involvement of the youth into activities on conservation of the valuable plants and planting of trees and gardens in the area.

Local communities of 29 villages close fitting to Katon-Karagay National Park will be involved into the project activites, 15 ecologo-tourist school clubs (more than 300 ???) will actively participate in realization of the project tasks, a wide information campaign will be lead.
