Rehabilitation and protection of natural walnut forest plots containing endemic and Red Book species by implementation of pasture rotation schemes in the sites close located to the settlements and plantation of fast growing trees like alternative to wood cutting in the natural forest in the vicinity of Koitash and Karagansay villages, located in the zone of natural walnut forest of southwest slope of Fergana Range.
The local population of this area is mainly involved with cattle breeding as their major profit resource that is why there has beed overgrazing and also tree cutting is present in this area. Three major factors are causing the damage to environment: tree cutting, fires and overgrazing. To solve this problems and preserve this area NGO is going to fence the territories of major concern, organize nurseries, reserves and plant saplings of endemic trees also allocate planting lots among local population and organize small shops and community patrols. Also support the project with wide information campaign.
